Community Movie At The Allen Library

Free to the public! We'll be showing "Is Anybody There?" (Rated PG-13) at 2 pm at the Floride Allen Library today! Come by and check out our newest library and a great film! IMDB describes the film like this: "Set in 1980s seaside England, this is the story of Edward, an unusual ten year old boy growing up in an old people's home run by his parents. Whilst his mother struggles to keep the family business afloat, and his father copes with the onset of mid-life crisis, Edward is busy tape-recording the elderly residents to try and discover what happens when they die.

FREE Computer Classes At Your Library!

Digital Bridges will be conducting FREE computer classes throughout the month of January at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library. Every Tuesday at 5:30 we'll be hosting Digital Bridges in our Local History Room on the second floor. Computers will be provided -- just bring your questions! The classes last approximately 1 hour. Community Movie Tonight

At 6 pm tonight at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library, we'll get a glimpse into a harrowing future: "Terminator: Salvation." This movie will be shown free of charge so stop by and enjoy a modern classic!

Holiday Closing

The holiday time is about spending time with loved ones and being thankful for what it is that we have. This point is not lost on the Twin Lakes Library System and so this is the one time of year where we close to the public so that ALL of our staff have the opportunity to do so. The Twin Lakes Library System and all its locations will be closed to the public on December 24, 2009 and will re-open on January 4, 2010. During this time please feel free to make use of online access to our catalog and to your account by visiting www.gapines.org.

Author Appearance on Friday December 18th

Author Ed Williams will be speaking on and promoting his new novel, ChristmaSin' at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library from 4-6pm. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.

Community Movie Tonight: "Management"

"Management" will be shown free of charge at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library tonight. The film begins at 6 pm.
