Our new Internet Policy goes into effect today -- if you have any outstanding fines on your library card, you will not be able to access the Internet until you have cleared them. This applies no matter how great or small your fines are: if you owe thirty-five cents, you have to clear it before you can access the Internet. If you owe nine dollars, same thing. If you'd like to see us go back to the old way of allowing anyone in good standing (less than ten dollars in fines) to use the Internet, then you need to contact the County and the City and tell them the library needs a budget increase -- we've received ONE increase in the last TEN years!
