Star Trek on DVD

All Milledgeville/ Baldwin County Star Trek fans should know how lucky they are to have a local library that is not only fully stocked with Star Trek literature but also every episode of every tv series.

I was recently out of commission and was lucky enough to have plenty of time on my hands to watch each of the first four seasons of Star Trek: TNG and VOY thanks to the library. I will soon be catching the final few seasons of Voyager before finishing TNG. I may then slowly check out DS9.

As for what I've seen I can safely say that The Next Generation is the best series (of those I've seen; TOS, TAS, TNG, VOY). Picard is also the best Captain, although I would mind Kirk in a fight.

Voyager felt like it was a bit of a step outside of tradition and didn't have any characters I felt that I could embrace (a la Spock, Q and Guinan). There were many interesting confrontations and situations but the overuse of temporal rifts has gotten a little cliche.

I have yet to see enough of DS9 or Enterprise (not enough to judge anyway)to garner an opinion on the Captains or the characters but each certainly has an uphill struggle when competing against the likes of Kirk and "Mon Ca-pee-tan" (as Q lovingly refers to Picard).
